REAL MADRID SCALE PAST VALENCIA
LOS BLANCOS GETTING BACK TO THEIR BEST UNDER SOLARI
Real madrid battled to a 2-0 home win against Valencia thanks to an own goal from Daniel Wass and a late Lucas Vazquez strike. Isco was back in the squad after being left out of the champions league win against Roma during the week but Santiago Solari again chose not to name the Spaniard in the starting XI and Marcos Llorente put out an impressive performance in Isco's absence.
Real Madrid got the lead in the 8th minute as Carvajal crossed the ball close to the byline on the right wing and Wass tried to clear the ball with a header but it ended up flying past the Goalkeeper into the net. Courtois was in fine form at the other end as he made outstanding saves to keep Real Madrid's lead. Lucas Vazquez then secured all three points for them after Karim Benzema was able to pick him out and he slotted the ball past the goalkeeper the goal had to be reviewed by VAR and was finally awarded.
