REAL MADRID SEAL DEAL FOR MARIANO DIAZ

Real madrid's search for a number 7 has finally come to an end as they have officially completed the deal for Lyon foward Mariano Diaz. After the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus,Real Madrid fans have been demanding for a replacement and just few days before the transfer deadline,they got their wish. Mariano who scored 18 goals in 31 appearances last season cost the Los blancos $35m,it looked like Mariano was set to join Sevilla before Real Madrid came in to activate their buy-back clause for the player, he was brought in to eventually ease the goalscoring pressure on Gareth Bale and Benzema but not only that, he was also brought in to provide stiff competition for Benzema. But Real Madrid fans are not happy with the fact that he will wear the legendary number 7  for them considering the fact that he is not a world class player and also that he hasn't scored a goal since april,but now isn't the time to judge as we are yet to see what he can add to the team, maybe the number 7 jersey can transform his career and turn him into the next big superstar of the pressure of the legacy of the number may be too much on him and hinder the progress of his career.
