REAL MADRID GRAB FIRST LEAGUE WIN OF 2019

SUPER-SUB CEBALLOS SEALS WIN FOR LOS BLANCOS

 Dani Ceballos came on to score an 89th minute freekick to ensure Real Madrid get their first three points in the league this year. An injury plagued Madrid side were forced to use very inexperienced players and play on the defensive but Luka Modric calmed early nerves as his left footed shot hit the top corner.

Betis kept on applying pressure and in the second half they got their goal through former Real Madrid player Sergio Canales. Real madrid's young fowards couldn't penetrate the Betis defence but they finally got their second goal as Casemiro won a free kick at the edge of the box, Dani Ceballos requested for it and he converted it against his former side.

 The result sees Real madrid go back up to fourth place and level on points with Sevilla who are third. Los blancos will now turn their attention to the Copa del rey where they look to finish what they started against Levante before welcoming Sevilla to the Santiago Bernabue.
