MANCHESTER CITY STUNNED AT HOME BY LYON | MICAVY

Manchester city were defeated 2-1 by Lyon in their first champions league game

Lyon produced one of the shocks in the Champions League as they stunned England Champions 2-1 in their champions league opener. Manchester City looked like they had the game under control but to the shock of the Premier League champions, they fell behind as Maxwell Cornet  gave them the lead in the 26th minute.

Manchester City continued to attack but their defense was not up to the task as Fernandinho gifted the ball  to Nabil Fekir who sprinted past the City's defense before firing a rocket from outside the box to beat Ederson.

 In the 67th minute, City pulled one back after Leroy Sane dribbled past the Lyon defense before setting Bernardo Silva up.

The results left Guardiola and Manchester city stunned as he didn't plan to face anything like this as Lyon were ready to punish Manchester City for their mistakes.
