36 governors meet with president Buhari at the presidential villa on friday

president Buhari met with governors behind closed doors on the  N30,000 minimum wage

On friday december 14th, President Muhammadu Buhari met with all 36 governors of the country behind closed doors on the on going N30,000 minimum wage Negotiation.
The disagreement has been between the State Government and the Organized Labor.

It was widely recognized that some of the state governors were absent at the meeting as they were represented by their deputies.
The meeting which was held for about 30 minutes before coming to a close, looked similar to an earlier meeting held by President Buhari on Nov.19 2018 at Abuja where  the National Minimum Wage was still discussed.
The representatives of the governors forum which included but not limited to the Governors of lagos state, Enugu, Zamfara, Lagos and Kaduna while the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige was also present.
On the 6th of novenber 2018, The Amal Pepple Tripartite Committee submitted its report and Review of National Minimum Wage to President Buhari where N30,000 was recomended as the new National Minimum wage.
