Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has dicussed the differences between Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane that made the French coach to step down from his role days after winning his third consecutive Champions League. Calderon who was Real Madrid's president from 2006 to 2009 said "Zidane wanted to keep Ronaldo and sell Bale but Perez did the opposite of what Zidane asked.
Cristiano Ronaldo against Juventus
Zidane wanted to have decision making power when it comes to Transfers but his demands were not met so he decided to leave and he was right". Shortly after the departure of the French coach, Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus, leaving Gareth bale as the main flagship player at the Bernabue. The Welshman was expected to take on the leadership role in absence of Ronaldo but has been criticized for so far failing to do so.
