YEMI OSINBAJO EXPLAINS WHY OIL SUBSIDY CANT BE REMOVED

During the vice presidential debate held by the Broadcast Organisation of Nigeria (BON) and Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) yesterday, Friday 14th December 2018, Vice President Osinbajo gave reasons why the Buhari led Administration and the (APC) All Progressive Congress cannot remove petroleum subsidy. According to the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, The removal of the subsidy will have a massive effect on Nigerians and that the price of petrol could go as high as N220 per liter. He also added that the subsidy is being taken from the Balance sheet of the NNPC since the NNPC is the sole importer of petroleum. And there is no country in the world that doesn't run on some type of subsidy
